Grief Support Group at Trinity Episcopal in Torrington. Open to all!

Trinity Episcopal Church is offering a grief support group series this winter. If you find yourself wishing to connect with others who have been through a loss and may share similar experiences, this might be helpful to you. Whether your loss is recent or long ago, you are welcome to participate.

These are the details of this opportunity:

Tuesday evenings, January 26, February 2, 9 & 23 at 7:00 to 8:30 pm

Thursday morning, January 28, February 4, 11 & 25 at 10:00 to 11:30 am

Each group is co-lead by Reverend Ann and a member of our Pastoral Leadership Team. The groups correspond to the topics in the “Journeying Through Grief” series of books published by Stephen Ministry. These small booklets suggest various aspects of grief that are experienced by many people who have lost a loved one or have experienced other losses in their life. We recommend participants commit to the four sessions. We have tentative plans to offer another series after Easter.

Please note: If Torrington Public Schools are canceled we will not meet that day, if they are delayed, the morning group will not meet but the evening group will still meet.

For more information, contact one of the Pastoral Leaders or Reverend Ann. While you will not see this opportunity listed in the newspaper, please share it with others as may be helpful. You may RSVP to the Parish Office at 860-482-6027 or by email to [email protected] (And if you don’t get to RSVP, please come anyway!)

May the peace of the Prince of peace fill our hearts with newfound hope,
